About G-Corks Cortiças
G-Corks Cortiças is a Portuguese company specializing in cork stopper production. The company is located in the heart of the traditional cork region, in Paços de Brandão, 20 Km north of Porto.
In 1999 G-Corks Cortiças joined the Gabriel Group which was founded in 1868 in Mézin, a storied place for cork production. Passionate about his work and convinced of the vital importance of cork quality, Albert Bunisset set off in search of large production areas in Portugal and Spain. In 1965, led by Léon Gabriel, the company settled in the heart of Bordeaux wine region. This concentrated focus on quality, in both cork and the wines it serves, led directly to the company's growth and success.
G-Corks is an ultra-modern factory which benefits from all the “savoir-faire” accumulated by Gabriel. The company's efficiency and capacity in manufacture, sorting and washing allows greater control in batch processing and a correspondingly higher end quality.
With the technical and market expertise to satisfy the famously demanding and justly famous winemakers from all over the world, G-Corks Cortiças now brings its tradition of quality and value to the expanding European market.
